Kevin M. Lowe is a writer, musician, independent scholar of American religious history, and a transitional deacon in the Episcopal Church. Born and raised in Ithaca, New York, he earned his Ph.D. in American religious history from Penn State University in 2013. He is the author of Baptized with the Soil: Christian Agrarians and the Crusade for Rural America (Oxford University Press, 2016). He is currently working on a history of Future Farmers of America and youth agricultural education.
 
Kevin lives in Pennsylvania with his wife Sarah, his daughter Julia, and a neurotic hound dog named Hamish McMonkey.
